Optimization of TrafficBack links

TrafficBack links are aimed to improve your earnings when you’re working with Push notifications. The ways how this can be done with our Smart Tag are described here. However, if you decided to use those links for separate media buying, check the instructions below which will help you to optimize performance.

First of all, there is no need to create many zones at once. TrafficBack links are optimized by smart rotation of offers by PropellerAds and the more traffic is coming to the link steadily, the better it works, since rotation analyses the performance of offers on zone level.

There are 2 ways how you can improve your work - adding postback to the TrafficBack link or/and passing us the subsources.
In both cases you’ll have to add a specific parameter in the end of the URL that our dashboard provides you.

1. Adding postback

If you add postback to your TrafficBack links, you will be able to track performance in your tracker for all campaigns that you’re running with our link and there will be no need to create too many TrafficBack links for each campaign separately.

Keep in mind that TrafficBack links have many different offers in rotation, in some of them advertisers pay for impressions, in some for conversions - so postback will be firing you events according to type of campaign which generated money for you.

If it’s okay for your tracker to receive a lot of postback events (a mix of impressions and conversions), please submit your Postback URL to support team with your parameters of click id and price (you can take it from your tracker) - we will integrate it into our system for TrafficBack zones where you need it.

2. Adding subsource

Similarly to working with push notifications subsources on TrafficBack links you can split traffic into smaller parts and analyze performance better.

To take TrafficBack link optimization to highest level, you can use 1st and 2nd option together.

Please note that the var parameter must be no longer than 40 characters long with the following list of acceptable symbols:

  • a-z

  • A-Z

  • 0-9

  • +!:/ ,?()$=.%[]_-
