In this instruction, we will describe the process of setting the conversion tracking between PropellerAds and Binom.
Step #1 - Create your postback URL
Log in to your PropellerAds Advertiser Account and click the Tracking section.
In the “Select a tracker or a CPA network” section, click the Binom option and copy the S2S Postback URL link.
Step #2 - Add PropellerAds as your traffic source on Binom
Log in to your Binom account, choose the Traffic sources tab, click the "Create" button, then click the "Load from template" button.
Then, find and select PropellerAds from Traffic source templates.
Binom will pre-populate all the necessary traffic source settings.
In the Postback URL field, we paste the URL we received in Step #1 (it can always be found in the Tracking section of your PropellerAds advertiser account.
Remember to change “REPLACE” to your IDs from the postback URL we created in Step #1. Please note that you must insert your actual aid and tid; otherwise, your conversions will not be tracked correctly!
After completing all replacements, click Save to store your PropellerAds settings in Binom (if you want to make any changes - select your traffic source from the list and click the Edit button).
You can use additional placeholders (tokens) to track your traffic efficiently. A full list of our tokens can be found via the link. Binom allows you to create up to 30 tokens.
Please note that the following tokens could be installed manually in your PropellerAds postback URL accordingly:
{browserversion}- Version of the user’s browser
{countryname}- Name of the user’s country
{region} - Name of the user’s region
{useragent} - User’s raw user-agent
{connection.type} - User’s connection type
Step #3 - Generate the postback URL on Binom
To be notified about conversions from the affiliate network, you need to generate the Postback URL on Binom containing the "CLICK ID" and add it to the affiliate network panel.
Please refer to the Binom Knowledge Base to learn how to add affiliate networks and offers and generate the postback URLs.
Once you get your Binom Postback URL, paste it to your affiliate network panel to pass data about conversions from the affiliate network to Binom.
If you are experiencing any problems - contact your affiliate network support.
To initiate a campaign, you must create an Offer and a Landing accordingly. Please refer to the manuals below for more information regarding the installation process.
Step #4 - Set up the Campaign on Binom
Click the Campaigns tab, then press Create to open the new campaign configuration menu.
Name your campaign, select "PropellerAds" as the Traffic source, and fill out all other mandatory fields.
Once you’ve finished setting up your campaign’s destination paths, click the Save button.
This will create a new campaign within the campaigns list and generate the Campaign URL needed to direct traffic to.
You can also check the integration with the tracker in the Tracking section of your PropellerAds account. To do this:
Go back to PropellerAds
Navigate to the Tracking section
Add the Binom campaign URL
4. Click the "Check URL" button
5. Check the conversion tracking
6. Click the Banner
You will navigate to a page where you should click on another banner.
7. Generate a test conversion.
Binom will fire the PropellerAds postback URL
8. Check if the conversion was recorded by PropellerAds
Step #5 - Set up the Campaign on PropellerAds
Log in to your PropellerAds advertiser account, click the Create Campaign button on the top of the account page(or edit one of your existing campaigns on the Statistics tab).
Paste the Campaign URL with all parameters from Binom campaign settings and paste it as the Target URL for your campaign on PropellerAds.
Important note: The Binom tracker does not track CPM, only CPC. So, to track the CPM cost from PropellerAds, you should choose the CPC model in Binom and the CPM in PropellerAds. For example, if the CPM is $1, the CPC should be 0.001 in Binom.
